The Conquering Church is a strategy jointly developed by Pentecostal churches for the period 2021-2035.
The strategy aims to clarify the basic mission of the Pentecostal movement, strengthen the capacity of the congregations and encourage the development of fellowship and cooperation.
The strategy is to be implemented through the activities of the congregations and communities. Each congregation and community will examine the strategy from its own perspective and select areas for development that are appropriate to its own situation and context. A congregation may also formulate its own long-term plan based on the overall strategy.
Key elements of the strategy
Our goal: In 2035, Finland’s Pentecostal churches will be a vibrant community that believes, grows and makes a bold impact.
Our core mission: to carry out the Great Commission in the power of the Holy Spirit, to grow together as followers of Jesus and to bring glory to God.
Our biblically based values are: grace, openness, courage, safety and fellowship.
Our main strategic goals:
- We are a thriving community.
- We are a missional community.
- We are a well-managed community.
Measurement questions
The measurement questions help to understand the current state of the church/community in relation to the goals. The questions also serve as valuable feedback on the direction and effectiveness of the development activities undertaken.
